Dear Maddie, you were my mom's (Audrey's) friend and table mate for the past year and a half. Your friendship was invaluable in smoothing mom's transition to living at Craiglee, and certainly made each of her days brighter. I loved our chats. You always had a ready smile and a twinkle in your eye regardless of what you were facing. You were sad at my mom's passing in early August, yet you were able to give me words of comfort. Thank you for your generous spirit.

MA.I write this with a very very heavy heart.You were my rock.You kept me going in this life when I didn't think I could.We talked about anything.You were my confidante and best friend.And you ALWAYS!!!made time to talk.We laughed together and cried together.I will miss this.I wish I could have been there,but I know you understood why I wasn't.You were the gentlest and sweetest woman I know.You were my MOTHER and I am proud of that.You and dad raised a loving family, and we in turn tried to do the same,and I know YOU were proud of that.You left an AMAZING impression with everyone who met you.Your smile and generosity will live with people long after this.I love you and will miss you.With your passing dies a big part of me.A part of my heart and my soul.I will see you again MA,along with dad and Karen, in a better world with no sickness or death.I love you 4EVER&ALWAYS.With a broken heart I say goodbye for now.Your loving Son. Dear Mom. Well the world was a brighter place for 92 years and 2 days. It is now a bit darker with your passing into the hands of God. You always tried to teach us right from wrong and told us that we had to live with consequences of the choices we made. In good and bad times you were there for all of us.  Your love for your family was undeniable and will truly be missed by all of us. You are now at peace, and no doubt dancing and having a few glasses of wine with Karen and Dad. We love and will miss  you very much. Love John, Judy and Ashley.

Mrs. Bain was such a wonderful lady. Always a smile on her face, always kind words. I remember growing up on Rushbrooke her door was always open to us. Many good times were had in her home. I know she will missed by her loving family. RIP Mrs. Bain my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Grandma,
I only know of two emotions you were capable of... Joy and Love.  Apart from the occasional roll (undoubtedly caused by the infamous Bain sarcasm), your eyes were always sparkling.  A truth that only increased directly in relation to the amount of family you had by your side.  And, we were always by your side because that was where we wanted to be.  I have never met anyone with such a huge heart, thank you for sharing it with us.
I will carry you with me wherever my path takes me, and will do my best to lighten the days of my family as you have always done for me.

Mom was the kindest most loving person I knew! She welcomed me to the family with open heart and arms!! I was blessed to have known her, and to be part of the Bain family!! She met my parents in 1998 and both of my mom's had so much in common! We had an amazing trip together to go see John&Judy Bain in Comox it was my first meeting of Gerald's brother John, and a trip I will never forget!! RIP Mom till we meet again! ❤
