Dear Llved Ones:  Our hearts were broken when Karen shared the news.  We are so saddened that we cannot be with you at this time to share the celebration of dear Louis's life.  So many memories from Trinidad..the many joyours celebrations of Carnival, the wonderful Sunday family gatherings and then in later years our shared holidays . Our hearts are sad and broken at the passing of our dear friend.  We are grieving along with Marie Louis, Karen, Nicole and Tony.  As young girls, Marie Louise and I worked at RBC in Trinidad and as young boys Louis was Mike's Scout Leader at St. Mary's College.  Over the years, we have enjoyed many lunches, barbecues and trips to Horseshoe Valley with Louis showing us the sites of Wasaga Beach and Collingwood.  Throughout all those years Louis was a patient, kind and caring person.  Always putting others before himself.  We believe that Louis is now one of God's angels, looking down on us with his affectionate smile.

On Saturday March 1st at about 10:15pm we lost a friend. A loving, caring, gentle person. God called him home. Bunny and I are so sorry that we will not be here to share in your final "goodbyes". We believe in the hope of the Resurrection, so, hopefully we will see each other once more. Louis' greatest joy was his wife Marie Louise and his children and grandchildren. Louis and I were childhood friends, and I have always considered the de Silva family, my family.  Julian and I were married from their home in Gray Street, and I spent much of my young years at that home where I was treated like one of the family. Marie-Louise and Louis have remained our good friends over the years, attending our children's weddings and getting together whenever we could.
