I found out of Leonard‘s passing through a Google search. He was married to my mother back in the mid- late 90’s. Unfortunately I haven’t seen my mother in 21 years. Rip 

I had very brief contact with Leonard about 8 years ago. While I lost contact after my trip back to the states, I have never forgotten the short time that his presence was around me. Quick witted but genuine. When folks came across us together, we were called double trouble. We fed off of each other in that sense. 
Where ever your next part of your journey may take you, Leonard, remember to raise a little hell, but don't sail too far away from your friends.. you will be missed by all. 

I have  known  Leonard for a long time he was the   sweetest  person you could have ever wanted as a friend  he was understanding  person  May you rest in peace my dear friend and may the angels hold you tight on your  journey  home 

you will be truly missed by all 

I also knew Leonard through the Wednesday Night Suppers.  It was a pleasure to see him every week. In the fall he spoke frequently of how well he felt, and how well his life was going. Nice to know  he was at peace. But I will miss his interesting, kind presence on Wednesday’s. 

Leonard was often part of our weekly Wednesday Suppers community meal over several years.  He was one of the kindest, gentlest, and inspiring people I've ever met.  My life is richer for having known him, and we are all sorry to have to say goodbye so soon.  He will be greatly missed.
