Leona Moores

Passed suddenly away on July 13th, 2023, Leona Elizabeth Moores of Toronto Ontario at the age of 52. Predeceased by her father Reginald Moores, brother Todd Moores, grandparents Lily and Herb Moores & Mary and Eric Boone.

Left to celebrate her life are her most precious gifts in life, her 3 sons Mavrick Moores of Toronto, Cody Boone of Quebec, Ryan Ward of Mississauga, her mother Alice Moores (Arthur Power) of Grand-Falls Windsor and her 2 dear sisters Cynthia Boone and Lori-Anne Cooke both of Cottrell’s Cove/Moore’s Cove Newfoundland plus a large circle of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Leona also leaves behind her special friend Andrew Ward. They shared a child together (Ryan) and Andrew have always been there for Leona through the years.

Leona was born on April 5th, 1971 to Reginald and Alice Moores and was raised in Moore's Cove Newfoundland. Later in life she moved to Ontario.

Leona loved life to the fullest, her greatest joys were her 3 sons who she loved dearly. She loved to cook, bake, spending time outdoors especially fishing and spending time near the water. She was a very hard worker who tried her hand at many things. She was very articulate, talented and liked being hands on. She could draw and paint the most beautiful pictures, crochet, she even did drywall and plastering. She worked at many different things and she was never afraid to learn something new. She will be forever missed, loved and remembered by those who knew her.
