Leanne Pearl Bishop

"On March 6th, in the early afternoon with the sun shining gently, Leanne Pearl Bishop (formally Barbara Costain Lee), passed away peacefully after battling breast cancer at the age of 52 with her daughter and many loved ones holding her hand. Leanne was an incredibly kind, funny, creative, selfless, and fiercely strong person who touched many lives. She had a way with uplifting everyone she met, and a laugh that was truly contagious. Leanne had many challenges on this earth, yet she took every one of them head on with unwavering resilience.

Leanne will be greatly missed by her daughter Kari, chosen son Danny, ex husband David, cousin Diane, friends Kim, Jodi, Lisa and many more. She was predeceased by her sister Susan and mother Audrey. She was also chosen daughter to Sue and Clarence Lee. The list of loved ones she leaves behind is endless.

Leanne used to say that being a Mother was her greatest accomplishment. She was the best Mom anyone could ask for. She was my best friend, my hero, my advisor, my gossip buddy, foodie pal, protector, thrift shop connoisseur, favorite poet, and most of all my kindred spirit.

I love you Mom. Thank you for making me the woman I am today. I will carry you with me until we meet again."
