In loving memory of Ke Sook Kim, who passed away on February 1st, 2024 after a brave battle with cancer. She was the wife and partner of Yong Chil Kim, loving mother of Julia (Daniel) and Benson (Eunice), and affectionate grandmother to Serena, Tatum, Emersyn and Ethan.
Ke Sook was a strong, caring and generous person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She faced every challenge in her life head on with courage and determination. Our mother had a big heart and passionate spirit. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Ke Sook immigrated to Canada from South Korea in 1973 and worked incredibly hard over decades to build a successful life for her and her family. She was always there for us and was talented in so many ways. She was an amazing cook, an avid gardener, a skilled seamstress and also enjoyed ballroom dancing. Although she often worked long hours at her business, she somehow had the energy and hospitality to host dinners and parties for her family and friends at the drop of a hat. She instilled in us the importance of family, respect, work ethic and generosity to others.
A public visitation for Ke Sook will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to Hospice Vaughan (https://hospicevaughan.akaraisin.com/ui/tributegiving/donations/start).
엄마, 너무 사랑하고 보고싶어요. Mom, we love you so much. You will always be in our hearts.
