Kathleen Lillian Penney

Kathleen Lillian Penney (née Callaghan), after a brief and courageous battle with gastric cancer died peacefully in hospital at SHN – General Site in Toronto, ON Canada on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 87 years.

Kathleen “Kay” is survived by her daughter, Sonya Boston (née Penney) and spouse Stephan Boston (grandchildren Xavier and Riley) and son Troy Penney and partner Kristen Woods (grandson Eric Penney and mom Kim Therien). She is preceded in death by her parents Patrick Callaghan and Florence (née Roberts) and her loving husband of 43 years, Eric Roy Penney who passed in 2006. She will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters, wonderful in-laws and many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

A simple cremation is planned and will be followed by a trip back to her hometown of Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador in the near future for the dissemination of ashes.
