I have many fond memories of New Year’s Eve at my parents home when I was a child.  Family gatherings were important in our family and New Year’s was very special.  We had good conversation time, then dinner followed usually by playing a rousing game of Po-Ke-No.  I can still hear the raucous laughter of Frank and June as the game progressed.  I miss those days, and I’m thrilled that we had them.

To Christine, Barb and Rob: We have many fond memories of Presteign United Church and all the fun we shared with so many friends, including, of course, your parents,  Frank and June. 
...so many fun rehearsals preparing for the children's Christmas Pageant!
There were the great times with the Couples Club. When your parents hosted, we'll never forget the delicious clam chowder June made!  She was always smiling and such a good sport about everything.
There is no doubt that June was first and foremost a loving and dedicated Mother. She loved each of you fiercely and always put her family first.
You were blessed to have her for your mother.
She may have passed from this earth but she will be with you always!

I was sorry to hear of June's passing .I have so very many fond memories of years of laughter and shared experiences at St. John's U.C. where  Frank was minister for many years. Rest in peace, June.

June and I were graduates of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal in 1952. We have been close friends since that time. I remember my husband and I getting together with my nursing friends and their husbands at our home in Montreal and later in Toronto.  June was always up for a fun time.  One funny memory was the time her lovely casserole that she had brought to our get together accidentally dropped as she got out out of the car. We had a good laugh about that years afterwards. I remember June loving to dance, loving poetry ( going down to Harboufront to hear poetry readings). She also loved her Lord Jesus. I know she is in a better place where there is no more sickness or pain. 

I remember Mrs Lockhart as always smiling. She had a great sense of humour. It always seemed to me that she championed her children.  Mrs Lockhart was a long time friend of my mother. My sincerest condolences to all her family. I wish peace for you all at this sad time.

Dear Mom,
As I've told you so many times, you were the best mother I could ever have hoped to have.  How very blessed I have been to receive such an unconditional and continuous abundance of love and care as one of your children.  You weren't only my mother, but you were my best friend.  I think of your affection, your spirit, your intelligence, your sense of humour and your love as I try to write this.  I can't imagine my life or who I would be if I wasn't your son, and I certainly don't care to.   I regret that I will always wish that I cared for you and protected you better than I did, and that I thanked you enough, or at least more than I did.
