It’s a Wonderful Life
“Leaves are falling all around, time I was on my way”…
With over- whelming sadness we bring word of the passing of Joan(Judy) Thibault, beloved wife , friend and spiritual confidant of John Hilaire(Bob). In recent days Judy fought for life with passion, courage and dignity. Her bravery and quiet acceptance of the inevitable has been an inspiration to us all.
Judy is the cherished daughter of Ann and Ambrose O Connor , and is the loving sister to Jim, Evelyn, Pat, Dave and Vince (“Punch” to her “Judy”!) . Judy is also a loving sister to Bill, Denny, Theresa and Mary. As a loving sister – in- law to all the brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews in the Thibault family, a second book of relatives would have to be written! Judy is devoted mother to John Robert (Linda) and Cindy Ann (Mitch) and is a loving “Mom” to Sylvia and Brian Reid.
Judy’s greatest joy has come from a life filled with children. She is, and will always be “Nanny” to Hayley (Matthew), Amy, Megan (Taylor) and Sarah. In recent years her life was blessed as she became “great nanny” to Miss Emma P. , Easton, and Trent.
Though her health has been in rapid decline, Judy’s strong faith and belief in a higher spiritual power never wavered. We will miss her gentle manner and humour and will never forget her crystal blue eyes and heart warming smile.
Bob wishes to thank Dr. Reynolds and Dr. Koll for their care and comforting of Judy. On behalf of Bob and Judy the family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses and caregivers at Rouge Valley Ajax Pickering Hospital for their kindness and dedication.
Rest in peace our angel.
MY HEART WILL GO ON
Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on.
GOD SAW SHE WAS GETTING TIRED
God saw Judy was getting tired
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped His arms around her
And whispered “Come to Me”
In tears we saw Judy sinking,
We watched her fade away.
Our hearts were truly broken,
She fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw her sleeping,
Peacefully and free from pain,
We could not wish her back,
To suffer that again.
So keep your arms around Judy, Lord,
And give her special care,
Make up for all she suffered,
That seemed to us unfair.
So many times we’ve needed her.
So many times we’ve cried.
If love could have saved her,
Judy never would have died.
