Joseph Tenuta

He was an exceptional man. A devoted husband and best friend to his wife, Josie, and a steadfast and loving father to Paula (Peter), Claudia (Arnold), Clare (wife to his late son Victor), and Christina. He was the most playful and mischievous grandfather to his three grandsons, Gabriel, Bryce and Oliver. His absence will be deeply felt by his sisters, Angela (Nick) and Ida (Richard), along with his brother-in-law Paul (of his late sister, Mary). He will be fondly remembered by the countless other family members and friends whose lives he impacted through his generosity, warmth, wisdom, and impeccable sense of humour. As an educator and retired principal with the Toronto Catholic District School Board, “Mr. Tenuta” lived a life of service to the betterment of his community and all those he crossed paths with. We will miss his cooking, his storytelling, his infectious laugh, and the joy he brought to every person he met.

Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Transfiguration of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 45 Ludstone Dr on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. A private interment for Joseph will occur at Prospect Cemetery. Donations in loving memory of Joseph can be made to the University Health Network Foundation in lieu of flowers.
