Jose was born on March 9, 1930 in the parish of Cedros, on the island Faial, Acores, Portugal and passed away on September 17, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Maria. They spent 63 1/2 years sharing memories and experiencing all the world has to offer together. He is the cherished father of Betsy (Jeff) and Carlos (Gisele) and devoted grandfather to Owen, Angus, and Zoey.
Jose is the youngest of four siblings, who’ve all passed before him; Maria, Olivia, and Liduina. Now, he is resting peacefully with his siblings and parents; Francisco and Maria Albertina.
Jose will be forever remembered, loved and deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on September 22, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Alphonsus Church (540 St. Clair Ave. W. Toronto). Private burial to follow. (On the morning of the service, please make your way directly to the church arriving 15 minutes prior to the service.)
