Mr. John DiSalle

A treasured husband, son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend to many, John gave generously of himself throughout a life of laughter, love and companionship. He left us, surrounded by family, at Toronto General Hospital on Sunday May 15, 2016. At his side was his beloved wife Zelinde Kaiser.

John was born April 8, 1953 in Cansano, l’Aquila, Italy, son of Annina and the late Mario Di Salle. He was predeceased by brother Daniel and leaves brothers Nick (Anna) and Peter along with Zelinde’s siblings Kurt (Karen), Elizabeth (Skip), Brenda (Jack), Eric (Helen-deceased), Sheila (Tom) and Bruce (Michelle). Sharing the loss are a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, god children and countless friends who will miss his boundless good humour, astute, unselfish advice and matchless storytelling. Through all the days of a well-lived life John made friends wherever he went.

Visitation will be held at Trull Funeral Home Danforth Chapel (1111 Danforth Ave, just East of Donlands) on Wednesday May 18, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.

Celebration of John’s life will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church (71 Gough Ave, Toronto) on Thursday May 19, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave W, Toronto).

Donations in John’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be a fitting tribute.
