John David Windrim

Passed away peacefully at Main Street Terrace on November 21st, 2015. Born in Brantford, Ontario on July 12th, 1937. Loving Husband of Dorothy for 54 years. Dear Father of Gregory (Melissa), Jeffery, David (Nichola). Grandfather to Myah, Tyson and Larian. Predeceased by Parents Carl and Laura Windrim, Sister Margaret, Niece Allison, and Granddaughter Myah. David had a long career with Bell Canada in sales and marketing and in retirement he started his own consulting business. He was very civic minded and served on several boards such as the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place, Canadian National Exhibition Association and Metro Toronto Convention Centre. He was one of the founding members of Beach Triangle Residents Association and served on the executive until he retired earlier this year. He served on many committees and was president of the Volunteer Executive of Beach Metro in the past. It was David’s wish that there would be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Farrington Cemetery in Brantford, Ontario. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Parkinson’s Society or in memory of his granddaughter a donation to Meegan’s Walk would be appreciated.
