Predeceased by her husband, Arthur William (Bill) Morgan of 55 years, she leaves behind her children, Paul (Lesley) and Susan (Jim) and her grandchildren Liam and Isobel.
Born on April 11, 1932 in Toronto, she lived a family focused life of working and regularly attending church with her many family and friends. She lived most of her life in her house on Durie Street in Bloor West Village. She was very house proud and took great care of her garden and decorating the house for all occasions. If you lived or even often walked by the Durie Street house you knew Joan. The neighbourhood kids called her “Mrs. M”. The Morgans held the neighbourhood pool parties and barbeques as well get togethers and movie nights in their basement. Joan was also a senior member and choir leader at Runnymede Presbyterian Church for many years. She had a great alto voice.
Joan truly loved her children and was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was also a very loving and giving friend to so many people. She leaves behind many lifelong friends and we hope that in her final resting place that she is able to see all her family and friends that she had to say goodbye to so many years ago.
The family would also like to give thanks to the great staff at True Davidson Acres, 4th floor Pantages Unit, for all their kind and loving attention and for keeping her safe and well cared for even in the pandemic.
A Funeral Service will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home 660 Kennedy Road on Wednesday February 15, 2023 at 1pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.
