Loving wife of Edward Paul (d. 1993) and mother of David (d. 2012), Edward (Ted), and Daniel.
Joan passed away at Bendale Acres Scarborough in her 90th year.
She was born in Smith Falls, ON to Elsie Pacey (nee Marie) and Charles Ahier.
Later moving to Toronto, she met her beloved Edward. They fell in love and married in Toronto on that eventful day, Oct. 16, 1954, Hurricane Hazel Hit.
Joan worked a variety of interesting jobs throughout her life; as a waitress, Bell telephone operator, and Centenary Hospital switchboard, then moving to Centennial College in 1977. After a series of promotions, Joan ended her career at the School of Business, Dean's office as Admin. Officer in 1992.
Later in life, she enjoyed different hobbies including traveling, tap dancing, reading, pottery, and keyboard.
Joan was a founding member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, sang in the choir, and participated in Perpetual Adoration.
