Jean "Shiela" Walker

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Jean Shiela Walker born March 16th 1931. Devoted wife to the late Joseph Walker born February 12th 1928. Known for her tender heart gracious charm and strength she was the glue that held our family together.

Preceded by her Father Robert Hanley, Mother Margaret Hanley, Siblings . Bobby Reid, Jackie Reid, Pearl Reid, Euphemia Baker, Fred Hanley, June Tomlinson Ferguson. Loving mother to Jean Walker , Josephine Patricia Walker and Charles Robert Walker and Wife Catherine Walker.

Devoted grandmother: Vincent Edward Fawcett and wife Genevieve Fawcet, Karin Josephine Fraser, Cynthia Jean Fawcett, Tonya Jean Flooryp and Husband John Flooryp. Patricia Josephine Leier and Husband Christian Dubé. Ashleigh Christine Georgette Leier. Michael Joseph Walker wife Cheryl Walker. Lisa Ann Walker. Devoted Great Grandmother to: Tyler David Fraser, Emily-Anne Fraser. Fiona Bailey Fawcett, Connor Joseph Patrick O’Brennan. Nevaeh Shiela Daniella O’Brennan. Fred Hanley is a nephew along side of Nephew Kieth Hanley (Fred is deceased) his wife Carol Hanley great nieces Megan and Michelle , Great Great niece and nephew Megan,Michelle,Brad,Emily & Cole

Cherished aunt to Keith Hanley and Wife Dianne , David Hanley and wife Marie Medeiros, Margaret Hanley, Great Aunty to Sarah, Natasha. Liam, Adam and Ryan.

Her kindness generosity, and youthful spirit endeared her to all who knew her. Her vibrant personality and love of fashion were evident in the impeccable style and radiant presence. Nothing meant more to her than being surrounded by family and friends as often as possible. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes. Her zest for life was contagious, when she walked into a room she occupied it, you could not help but smile the moment you saw her. She embraced each moment with a spirit of fun and joy.

Loved by all her extended family in Scotland and Australia, Jean's legacy of love, joy, and music will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

A memorial visitation for Shiela will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5.
