James Arthur Barry Jamieson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Jamieson. Pre-deceased by his parent Clifford & Georgina Jamieson; Sister Marge (Doug); Brother Tom (Rhoda). He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 62 years, Lillian; Daughter Susan; Granddaughter Jennifer (Justin); Great Grandsons Connor & Finley; as well as many relatives and friends.

Barry began a long career as a Graphic Designer. He was dedicated and ambitious, excelling in a very fast paced, stressful line of work. After retirement, Barry enjoyed 24 years volunteering his time & talents at North York General Hospital. He created the Volunteer Newsletter for 13 years, won many awards for his photography and took part in all fundraisers for the hospital.

Barry had an enormous heart and wonderful, dry sense of humour. He was generous, loyal and full of knowledge gained through all of his life experiences. He could fix or build anything. He loved spending time nurturing his beautiful flower garden, perfecting his photography techniques and doting on his cherished great-grandsons.

A visitation for Barry will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at St.Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church, 21 Leith Hill Road, North York, Ontario M2J 1Y9. A memorial mass will take place at 11:00 am at St.Timothy’s Catholic Church.
