When I come to the end of my journey

And I travel my last weary mile

Just forget if you can that I ever frowned

And remember only the smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;

Remember some good I have done.

Forget that I ever had heartache

And remember I’ve had loads of fun.

Forget that I have stumbled and blundered

And sometimes fell by the way.

Remember I have fought some hard battles

And won, ere the close of the day.

But in summer just gather some flowers

And remember the place where I lay,

And come in the evening

When the sun paints the sky in the west;

Stand for a moment beside me

And remember only my smile.

Irene passed away peacefully at the Scarborough General Hospital on Monday, August 31st, 2015, at the age of 59, with her loving husband, Darrell by her side. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Leena (Mike) and Heidi (Colm), as well as her many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held at the GIFFEN-MACK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2570 Danforth Ave., (at Main St. subway station) 416-698-3121 on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the Giffen-Mack Chapel at 8:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
