Though this message comes so very late, I do hope Howie’s loved ones receive it. I had a giant crush on your Dad  at MPSS high school and actually went out with him a few times.  Such a kind soul, I know that the few years following high school were difficult ones. I only wish I still had the letter he sent me from Vancouver.  He often came to mind over the years, I am heartened to know that he had a full life surrounded by family who loved him. 
You must miss him terribly, may he rest in peace. 

Howard was a respected employee of BASF Canada for more than 45 years.  Those that worked for him were touched by his generousity and his legacy continues to be  celebrated at the Toronto Site. We extend condolences to his family and thank you for inviting us to share an opportunity to celebrate his life. A donation has been made in his name to CAMH. 

My condolences to the family for your loss.  I worked with Howie for many years at BASF.  He was a great guy.  Always so friendly and would do anything for you.
He will be missed.  Remember the good times as those memories you keep forever.  There is peace knowing that he no longer suffers.

Howie was a great friend! He and I went to many hockey games, played much golf and even went to Myrtle Beach on a week long golf trip.
I worked with Howard for 30 plus years. He would give you the shirt off of his back.
You left us way too early Howie. You are already sorely missed!
