Mrs. Helen Ruth Small

Small, Helen Ruth (nee Howard) 1946-2024 (Toronto, Ontario) – Helen leaves behind her loving husband George of 60 years; Helen passed away peacefully in her 77th year on the 6th January 2024 at Michael Garron Hospital – she is survived by her children Brian (Jennifer) Kitchener; Mark (Debbie) Orillia; Stephen (Christine) Langford BC; Liisa (Savo) Toronto. Predeceased by her sister Shirley, 2015 brother Roy, 1993, Ila 1980 and her parents Gladys 1995 and Wilbert 1978. Survived by her sisters Jean Heffron, Joyce Milligan; Helen leaves behind 13 grandchildren and many friends and family that will sorely miss her. Her life was large, and many people were touched by her kindness.

The family will be receiving guests at Giffen-Mack Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue; with visitation from 3pm - 5pm / 6pm – 8pm on the 17th January 2024, with full service on the 18th January 2024 at 11am. A proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 30 years, the celebration of life will take place at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11 following the service around 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting all donations be made to Unity Health (St. Michaels Hospital, Providence Healthcare) and Michael Garron Hospital Palliative care unit.
