Heather Sheila Thornton (Nee Taylor)

April 14th.1926-March 15th, 2024

Mom met her future husband Francis Leonard Thornton at a skating rink in London England in 1942. He was on leave at the time from The Canadian Army. They Married on June 17, 1945 a union that lasted 65 years!

Mom leaves behind her two loving sons, Keith Douglas Thornton and Derek Francis Thornton. Grandchildren: Ashlee Dhir, Kendelle Thornton, Michael Thornton, Matthew Thornton, Stephanie Daniels and five Great-grandchildren.

Mom will always be remembered as the least selfish person imaginable. Everything that she did was for her family. Mom’s final years were not easy, fortunately mom had her son Derek who provided around the clock care that could not be equaled anywhere or by anyone.

May she rest in eternal peace.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 27th,2024 from 12:00 Pm-1:00 Pm at Giffen Mack and Trull Funeral Home and Cremation Centre , Located at 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto ON M4C 1L3 followed by a Reception
