Just learned of Hayley’s passing and I am devastated. Hayley was such a bright and kind person, and in my short time of knowing her she always motivated me to keep my head up and keep fighting through any battle I was going through. I hope she is resting peacefully as she deserves nothing but love and respect. Thank you for always being such a light when we worked together and for keeping me laughing and knowing that I wasn’t alone in my struggles.

We are all full of sorrow hearing about the loss of your beautiful Hayley. Truly surreal and can not imagine the journey you all now take with her vibrant being home from your sides..but although not a comfort at this time, it is for a time that in the future you will meet her again. 

Each of your nieces and nephew out West send our love and hearts across the miles as you negotiate your way to a new form of family. 

The service was profoundly beautiful and Simultaneously all so heart wrenching . How courageous you all were to speak about your love for Hayley. 
The many images of her life, with her siblings and family and friends throughout the years were very delightful,  and of course bittersweet at the same time.

 Hayley had this energy about her where you always wanted to be around her, if you were  hurting she would drop eveything and be there for you. Her smile alone would light up the room, as it would make her eyes sparkle ever so bright that you would know everything was  going to be alright.

Seeing how many people showed up to the stream today, reading through everyone stories, and seeing how many people she touched within her short but full 24 years of life (25 years next month) is truly an inspiration. Meeting Hayls in college and quickly becoming best friends was the best thing that happened to me during our college years. I can’t even begin to talk about  the all the memories and funny stories we have from those years together (I can but I can’t post them here hehe) 

I will never forget you Hayley -I am so lucky to have been apart of  your life and so blessed to have the memories I have with you  forever. I can’t wait to see you on the other side, but until then- rest easy Hayls, love you forever 💛

We had the great pleasure of having Hayley being our sons teacher at Bumblebee Academy. Hayley was a shining star in that classroom and every child was happy to be around her. When we would pick Arlan up at night he would usually be found having a dance party with Hayley and the other kids and not want to leave.

Hayley was my daughters daycare teacher for a number of years at Roden. She was by far the most loved of all of the teachers, and the most loving genuine soul I have ever met. I always knew when Hayley was in because in perfect form, as I was picking up my daughter, I’d see all the other little girls leaving with their hair done in pretty braids and bows. 
Hayley would literally give someone the shirt off her back. And I mean that seriously. She had a plaid shirt that Bridget adored and Hayley gave it to her to keep. She wore that shirt for years.
I wish I asked you more about your life. I wish I got to know you better. I just hope that wherever in the universe you are, that you left here knowing how many children’s lives you touched in such a magical and authentic way.

We are so very sad to hear to hear of the loss of Hayley.  She was beautiful, happy and a shining light for our family. I considered Hayley one of my daughter's.  She was so loving and kind to Alex. She was part of our family.  She and Sasha were good friends and had a bond like sisters. The last time I saw Hayley was at Alex’s 4th birthday.  She came into the room and every single child was chasing Hayley around with glee. Hayley was dancing with them and hugging them and smiling. Words can not describe how deeply saddened I am by the passing of Hayley. She was so bright and full of life. My most sincere condolences go out to all of Hayley’s family and friends. 

Hayley and I met in 2014 while we were studying ECE at George Brown. We were both selected for an international field placement in Jamaica and were paired up as room mates. We clicked right away and became very close, as we spent 24 hours a day living and working together for a month straight. And that friendship carried on after we returned home.

Hayley was kind, creative, empathetic, funny, passionate and so much fun. There were so many times we laughed so hard until we cried and our stomachs hurt. She was the easiest and most fun person to travel with and be around. She loved being an educator and working with children. She drew from her own experience and became a mental health advocate.

Hayley, I will never stop loving you and missing you. It was too soon for you to leave us. I will do everything I can to make sure you are remembered for the beautiful person you are. Rest In Peace, beautiful girl.

Words cannot describe what my daughter Lana and I are feeling at this time as the sight of Hayley always brightened up my 9 year old's day. Lana would beg for Hayley to babysit her last summer so she can spend some more time with her since she left Roden Daycare.

Hayley was a go getter, she knew exactly how to keep all of the kids in check while having a blast. Hayley was a familiar face always cracking jokes and getting to know each family on a personal level. 

Lana keeps saying 'if only we can wake up from this dream/nightmare' and I feel that too. Hayley will be missed but not forgotten. Your family is in our thoughts <3

I’m sorry this isn’t your typical post. It’s just what I’ve got. And I think she would hug me and be cool with it. And the world needs more like her, not less. It is truly a loss.   (For humans like me, for her kiddos and her doggos that she loved so very much) 





Dear Family and Friends of Hayley,
I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Hayley. My thoughts are with family and friends at this time.

Hayley was a teacher at Roden who my son (Davis) sometimes interacted with. Even after she left Roden,  I enjoyed chatting with her in the school yard. She was friendly, lovely and kind. Such a wonderful young lady.

Sending the family much strength, love and light during this difficult time.

It was SUCH a pleasure working with you and seeing your smile that would bright up ANY room you were in the more we talked the more awesome i realized how you were, we even had matching tattooes without even knowing. It is so heart breaking to get this news of your passing you were a ray of sun light and taken from us far to long .... i am so heart broken and sad . ALL THE KIDS AND STAFF LOVED YOU !!!! you were so free spirited and awesome and honest in this world and you will be so missed...

Such heartbreaking news... Hayley was much-loved by all the kids at RCCCC and even after her departure from there, she continued to visit, communicate with, and babysit most of "her" kids. She was our daughters' favourite caregiver, and they would ALL get so excited to spend time together. Our older daughter was quite close with her, and wanted to share this sweet photo with you all. Much love to Hayley's family and friends.

Hayley was a shining star. I had the pleasure of working with her and although it was short, I knew she was special. She had a bright energy and a true love of working with children. She was an amazing educator and a wonderful person. She was kind, loving and saw the value in patiently fostering and developing the children she worked with. I'm heartbroken for Hayley's family and my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I will truly miss her. 

Hayley was loved by my daughter at RCCCC. She couldn’t wait to have Hayley as her daycare teacher in grade 1...she talked about her a lot and just mentioned her recently too. She had such a powerful impact on the students and she always made my daughter feel supported and loved. 
Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. 

Hayley was one of our amazing RECE's at Bumble Bee Academy. She was kind, compassionate and an absolute pleasure to work with! She was always thinking of new ways to get the children active or coming up with new activities for them to enjoy. Hayley was very passionate about what she did, and always brought so much fun and laughter with her into the classroom. It was an absolute joy to watch her engaged with the children through yoga, dance parties and especially outdoor play. I'm so fortunate I had the opportunity to know her, work with her and call her a friend. She always put a smile on my face, and I'll always remember the pictures and videos she sent me to make me laugh! Hayley was an incredible part of the BBA team and will be greatly missed by all.

We are heartbroken by the news of Hayley's passing and cannot imagine how difficult this time is for her family and friends. We had the pleasure of knowing Hayley through RCCC where she was a huge part of our sons life for many years. Hayley was always sensitive, kind and very engaging with the children, She was our son's favorite daycare friend. Hayley, thank you for all you gave to the kids every day. Our sincere sympathies go out to everyone who had an opportunity to know and love you.

Hayley was a passionate ECE who brought joy and laughter into the lives of the children she taught. She strived to create an environment that made every child feel loved and safe. She had a loving heart and a caring soul and will be dearly missed. My deepest condolences to her family.
