It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Maria Gloria Rodrigues who passed away in the early hours of March 3rd, 2022. Her 89 years brought Gloria, her family and friends much happiness. Predeceased by her husband Celestino, who passed away in 1989, Gloria was the beloved Mother of Sally and Elizabeth, Mother-in-law of Dennis and Bernie. An accomplished seamstress, she took great satisfaction in a job well done. But Gloria’s greatest pride and joy came from her role as “Vovo” to Jessika, Lukas and Thomas who never failed to make her smile, even when the rest of the world seemed like a very confusing place. She was a much-loved sister and Aunt. Life brought many challenges to Gloria, but hers was a life well-lived. Dementia robbed her of many pleasures in her later years, but Gloria lives on in the minds, memories and hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at 11 am on Friday March 11th, followed by a short service at 1 pm. A full Mass will be held at Holy Name Church at a date and time to be determined in the spring, when the flowers that so charmed Gloria through her life will be in full bloom.
