Gertrude Edna Carlson

November 13, 1926 to January 29, 2012

Gertrude in her 86th year, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at Guildwood Extendicare surrounded by her family. Predeceased by Andrew William, husband of 58 years. Loving mother to Andrew (Diane), Douglas (Anne) and John (Anne). Proud Grandmother to Michelle (Mateen), Rachel, Paul, Erin, Andrea, Matthew (Tammy), Michael, Jason (Manuela), Christopher, Sarah (Dave), and eight Great Grand Children.

Sister to Mary Regal, Agnes Bonnell, Martin McGrath and Mildred Sanford, predeceased by brothers Clarence and George Nelson.

Mom’s generosity, smile and loving care will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 3-4 pm at Jerrett Funeral Home 660 Kennedy Rd. Scarborough, followed by a celebration of Mom’s life at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Gertrude’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Guildwood Extendicare for their support, compassionate care and the friendship they extended to our mother.
