George Benjamin Dawe

George was born on May 24th, 1936 to John and Alfreda in St John’s, Newfoundland. George was known for his love of the guitar and often enjoyed singing and playing for others. He also loved dancing, bowling, and reading.

He is survived by his wife Sandra; his sons, Karl (Gina), Darron (Victoria), and Wayne (Jennifer); his six grandchildren, Clarise, Zachary, Michael, Emily (Matthew), Julia, and Joshua; his great granddaughter, Avery; his sisters Delores, Margie, Madonna, Christine, Rosalind & Debbie and brother Dennis; and many nieces and nephews and special friend and neighbour, Maureen. He is also survived by his beloved cat Blondie.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and community at the Dorothy Ley Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday Sept 24, 2023 2 pm until 6 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 527, 948 Shepard Ave W, Downsview.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Dorothy Ley Hospice and/or the Royal Canadian Legion.
