September 5, 1961 – February 3, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George (Patrick) Anderson, who left us on February 3, 2025, at approximately 4:00 AM, in the loving embrace of his mother in Toronto, Canada. Born in the township of
St. Catherine’s, Jamaica, on September 5, 1961, to his beloved mother, Josephine Taylor, George was a man of remarkable strength, dedication, and boundless love for
his family. He was a cherished brother to Leroy, Merlyn, Raymond, Franklyn, Diana, Simone, and Cary, and a devoted partner to Messona, sharing many years of companionship, laughter, and love. George’s love for life was as deep as his passion for music, especially the soulful rhythms of Dennis Brown. His heart would always find peace in the melodies and lyrics that told stories of
love, pain, and triumph music that resonated with him and became a soundtrack to his own journey. Dennis Brown’s voice often echoed through his home, a constant reminder of his roots and the joy that music brought to his soul. Patrick was a proud and loving father to Adam, Eric, Anthony, Andrew, and Cory. His love for his children knew no bounds, and he found endless pride in watching them grow. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. As a skilled carpenter and tradesman, Patrick used his hands to build not just structures, but a lasting legacy of hard work, perseverance, and craftsmanship. His commitment to his craft mirrored his commitment to his family steadfast and unshakable. His warm heart, wisdom, infectious laughter, and love for the simple things in life will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the memories, music, and hearts of those who loved him. His love for reggae, his family, and life itself will continue to inspire and guide us as we move forward without him. Rest in peace, Patrick. Your love, your music, and your legacy will forever live on.
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave., Toronto, ON M4C-1L3.
