Together Once Again
When his wife passed away
The loneliness began.
She was his life, his everything.
His sweetheart, and his lady.
Friends and family drew closer
But he wasn't quite the same.
They knew his heart was aching
He so often spoke her name.
The years rolled on, as years will do,
And he sensed his time was near.
Joy replaced his loneliness.
Of death he had no fear.
He knew that God would never
Let death be their last goodbye.
For true love is forever,
And doesn't end because we die.
On the day he left us,
He smiled and called her name,
Then followed her to heaven.
They're together once again
