I'm so sorry , Marie for lossing your Mom, Aunt Flora.  I felt saddened to hear of  passing. 

You are always close to my heart, Aunt Flora.  I will miss your letters you always sent me when you were still able  to do it.  I miss the way you tell me old stories everytime you visited us here on the island.  How I wish to visit you everytime I went to Toronto the last few years.  But, I was informed you were not capable of having a company.   REST IN PEACE now with our Lord.  Till we meet again.

Aunt Flora was a force of nature whose like I don't think I will ever meet again. She was caring, funny, well-read, loved her family and was a truly loving person.

I loved to visit with her and talk over issues of the day or stories from her childhood.  Always well-informed and opionated, you always knew where she stood!

Although I have not been able to visit her recently, I always looked forward to her Christmas letter which seemed to bring her right to the room I was in.

Much love to Marie as you struggle to say good-bye to your Mother.  I will miss knowing she is part of this world but I know for sure she will be wonderfully welcomed in the next.

Aunt Flora was a woman of great Christian faith.

She had a strong sense of social justice and her letters to various and sundry church and government leaders were legendary.

How we loved her reminiscences of her early childhood life on the farm in Prince Edward Island!!

Her life was one of perseverance and duty, with much laughter, humour and sarcastic wit along the way.
