Edward R. Steger

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward R. Steger on Saturday August 9, 2014. Loving husband to Charlotte for 50 years, doting father to Caroline (Mark Accardo) and Monique (James Donnelly). Loving grandfather (Opa) to Elijah and Jamie, who shared his passion for the farm and tractors. They will miss their Opa terribly. Edward came to Canada in 1957 and built a wonderful life including a successful business. He will be missed by all who knew him. A true gentleman whose optimism, generosity, kindness and incredible sense of humor touched everyone around him. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street (2 lights south of Steeles). The funeral will take place on Friday, August 15, 2014 @ 10 am at Blessed Trinity Church, 3220 Bayview Avenue at Cummer. A reception for friends and family will follow the service in the church hall.
