Dorothy Hamilton

Passed away suddenly at age 85 at Toronto. Dorothy was born on September 19, 1930 in Toronto, Ontario, and was married in 1959 to Austin Robert Hamilton, who predeceased her. Dorothy was also predeceased by her father George Shadoff and her mother Mary Shadoff (nee Chubb) and her siblings Lillian Searle, John Shadoff and Beatrice Sawka. Dorothy is survived by her younger brother Stanley Shadoff. Dorothy's warmth, charm and amazing conversational ability endeared her to all friends, family and acquaintances. Dorothy leaves behind three loved children; Tracy Miller and husband Kirby and grandchildren Jordan, Kylie and Josh, Mark Hamilton and Scott Hamilton (Laura Hamilton) and partner Natalie Prior and grandchildren Clara, Kate and Luke. The family would like to thank the team at the Toronto East General for Dorothy's recent care. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, in Dorothy's name. A visitation will be held between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on March 4, 2016, at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
