Dora Linda Aldridge Whilsmith

Beloved wife of the late Frank Whilsmith. Loving mother of Don (Milagros), Graham, Greg (Pat), and Glenn (Rosemary). Predeceased by daughters Marilyn and Linda, son Grant, brother Bernard and sister Hilda. Cherished “Grandma Dora” to Andre, Marilyn, Shane, Chris, Madeline, Evan and Harrison. Great-grandmother to Isabella and Gage. Dora began her working career during the 1920’s, began raising a family in the 1940’s and resumed her working career in the 1960’s at Woodham’s. She returned to school at the age of 55, obtained her BSW Degree and retired as a Social Worker at the age of 71. Dedicated volunteer with Meals on Wheels, passionate member of the Horticultural Society and pivotal member of Willowdale Presbyterian Church. Dora recalled fond memories of the family cottage and many friends on Farlain Lake. Visitation will be held at the JERRETT FUNERAL HOME “NORTH YORK CHAPEL”, 6191 Yonge St (south of Steeles Ave ) on Friday from 6-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at WILLOWDALE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, (Ellerslie west of Yonge) on Saturday at 1pm. Interment York Cemetery. Donations to Leprosy Relief Canada appreciated.
