To the Family of Donna Walker.

Donna  was so special, as all of you already know. I was a friend of hers for many years and, will greatly miss her humour, warmth, and friendship.

We had a project together about a year ago, when I helped her gather all of her old uniforms (TCA and, AC).  We put them into order and,  I then shipped them out to the aircraft museum in Sidney B.C.  They will tell part of her story with the airline, which will be her 
contribution to the Museum.

Donna's thoughtful presence, her grace and sharp wit will be dearly missed. Donna came into my life through Philip, whom I met in 1978 while working at City Hall. It wasn’t long before they invited my family (Marianne, son Vijay, daughter Leela) to their home and we became fast friends. They joined us on trips to India in 1987 and 1990 and we became like family. 

I have so many fond memories of working and also socializing with Donna.  She will be greatly
missed.

Donna and Philip Walker were close friends of my parents, Patricia and William Henderson. They were part of my life from a young age and a regular fixture at our family Christmas dinners. Thus, it seems fitting to write this remembrance just before I sit down to another Christmas meal. 

Donna was a wonderfully kind woman with a sly sense of humour that I came to appreciate over the years. I haven't seen her since my mother died in early 2019, but we sat and had tea and biscuits in her kitchen -- a common theme. 

Thanks to all who have helped to care for Donna in her final years. I am glad to hear that her passing was peaceful. 


I was so sad to hear of Donna’s passing.

Donna and Philip were a significant part of my childhood - they brought magic into my life and opened my mind to new experiences. They were both incredibly special people whom I loved dearly.

I find great comfort in knowing that Donna and Philip are re-united. The example of love and dedication that they showed one another is something I treasure.

We were saddened to hear of Donna Marie's Passing, fondly
remembered as Donna Marie 1.  We enjoyed Philip and Donna's visits to
Halifax, particularly when we attended A Black Tie Event for
the 100th Anniversary of Dalhousie's Law School establishment..
dressed in all our finery we danced to the John Alfonse Band, a 
lovely memory.
