On, Saturday May 17, 2014, Dolores Catherine Lovejoy Naylor passed away peacefully in her Toronto home, while surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Peter for 58 years and loving mother to Mark, Scott (Doris), Kevin (Charene) and Brenda (Kori). Cherished grandmother to Chandra, Kristen, Jonathan, Kurtis, Mackenzie and Harrison. Dolores was loved for her beautiful spirit, warm heart, sense of humor and her contagious laugh. Dolores enjoyed travel, theatre & the arts, fashion, her friends and family. Dolores was born in Trenton, Michigan, on November 21, 1932, where she lived until moving to Toronto with her sister Doris. Dolores worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia where she met the love of her life, Peter and began her family.
Dolores was the matriarch, the sheppard, the warmth, the heart and soul of her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Dolores truly was and always will be “The Queen Bee”.
Friends are invited to gather at Trull “North Toronto” Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Memorial service will be celebrated at St. Clements Anglican Church (Duplex & Briar Hill Ave.) on Thursday at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
