At Princess Margaret Hospital following a valiant struggle with cancer, dearly loved husband of Elizabeth Spielbergs.
Dear brother of Christine, Susan and Linda. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Shirley, Craig, Heather, Adam (who gave David the gift of a kidney), Matthew, Stephanie, Colin, Alison, Kim and Mary. Son of the late Margaret Frere and David Smith, stepson of the late John Frere. He will be sadly missed by his friend of over 45 years David Bertoli. Visitation from noon Wednesday, January 19th at the GIFFEN-MACK "DANFORTH" FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2570 Danforth Ave., (at Main St. subway), 416-698-3121, until time of service in the chapel at 1 o'clock.
