on November 18th, 2024, just 10 days shy of his 85th birthday. David was a man of courage and
kindness, whose life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and service to others.
David was truly a family man. Predeceased by Maureen, his loving wife of 52 years. David and
Maureen’s marriage was built on trust, unwavering support, and boundless love. Together,
they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. David was a proud
and loving father to Lorraine and Sharon, who enjoyed creating and sharing in fun memories and
was always around to offer his help and endless support. He trusted and was extremely proud of
his son-in-law Tony Gomes and was always excited for their next adventure. He revelled in his role
as a grandfather to Marina, Ariana, Amelia, and Ethan, finding immense joy in their achievements,
sharing in their dreams and doing his best to make each one feel extra special. David was a proud
TTC Collector and enjoyed his retirement days volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Good Food Box
and working in the Community Garden. David was always available to lend a helping hand, ready
to hear a story, and share a laugh. With a strong passion for silly shenanigans, David had a smiled
that warmed all hearts. He faced life’s challenges with a quiet strength that inspired all who knew
him. David was a shining example of how one person can make a difference. He will be deeply
missed and lovingly remembered. Friends and family will be received at the Giffen-Mack and Trull
Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave. (at Main St. subway) for both his Visitation and Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 6 to 8 pm. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11am. Our heartfelt thanks to the Nurses, PSWs and entire
