It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Cynthia. Born in Sri Lanka on September 6, 1947, she passed away at her home in Toronto on July 17, 2023.
She is survived by her three children Eugene, Michelle and Ilin; friend and former spouse Yogi; and dear grandchildren Aidan and Simona. She was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and late Imelda Saverimuttu, sister of the late Bernadette, late Xavier and Yogadevi. She will be fondly remembered by her cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Cynthia was a warm, friendly and strong person, showing kindness to friends and strangers alike. She was a devoted mother and career woman in Sri Lanka and Canada. We will miss her dearly.
A Visitation will be held for Cynthia on Saturday, July 22nd from 11am to 1pm followed by a Service at 1pm at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel and then a lunch. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, CAMH or another mental health charity would be appreciated.
