Concetta Rago

Concetta emigrated Italy in 1959 alongside her husband Francesco to start their young family here in Toronto. Concetta raised her 2 boys, Mario and Joe, and maintained the household all while working in the textile industry, eventually climbing the ladder to become a quality manager for Eddie Bauer. Naturally, her boys always wore very stylish and usually home-made clothing throughout their childhood. As Concetta moved into retirement age, she was able to spend more time doing the things she truly loved. Hosting her family with extravagant and delicious meals, routine trips to Acapulco with her husband and siblings, and altering the occasional dress to name a few. She has imparted deeply valued traditions and skills on her family, especially her grandchildren who most notably carry on her famous recipes and culinary tact. Concetta is survived by her son Giuseppe, daughters-in-law Lesa and Lisa, and grandchildren Vincent, Anthony, Julia, and Nicole. A viewing will take place at Delmoro Funeral Home; 61 Beverly Hills Dr., Toronto on October 6, from 6-9pm. Funeral ceremony to take place at St. Fidelis Church on October 7 at 11am.
