I first met Ellsworth in Toronto when we were both going to high school, living at 216 Lippincott Street, with Mrs Ruby (Ma P) and her husband, William (Uncle Willy) Peters.  She was like a mother to us. 

As we were both teenagers from Bermuda we connected as Bermudians. 

When Ellsworth was getting married and his brothers (groomsmen) were unable to attend, my brother Quinton (Snookie) and I filled in. 

Yvonne and Ellsworth became good friends of my wife (Eva) and I, so much so that we made Yvonne, Godmother to our second daughter, who was later regarded as Goddaughter to Ellsworth. 

I was also good friends with his brothers.

Recall visiting their (Aunt Yvonne) home as a child with my family for dinners, where Aaron would play his accordion.

Uncle Ellsworth and Aunt Yvonne were always welcoming hosts.

My last visit at the hospital we reminisced about the past and life.

He had a great sense of humour, family life, lots of friends, and travelled the world.

I will miss our phone conversations.

Rest now, as you are in good hands with familiar company.

....saddened to hear about this profound loss. Although, we are dads, we only become fathers when our own father passes.  Heartfelt condolences bother.  Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Sincere condolence to Aaron, Jason and their families, Alicia, Shaqueem and all of the grandchildren and friends of Ellsworth.  He  was a kind and generous man who has left this earth a better place because he lived.

I will always remember Ellsworth as a kind and gracious man. His warmth and friendliness left a lasting impression on myself and all who were fortunate enough to know him.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Condolences to Aaron, Jason, and their extended family.  I have fond memories of Ellsworth. My earliest memory of him is when I was around 4 yrs old, and he was visiting our place.  He was at the dining table smoking a cigar.  AND, there he is, in your video, smoking cigars!!!

I have fond memories of growing up with Jason in the Seven-Oaks neighborhood. I recall how Ellsworth was always kind and calm to all of us as we made our journey through the teen years. I will never forget the endless summer days we would all have around the Smith pool.

Ellsworth ( and Yvonne) do and always will have a special place in our hearts . They were our great friends and “Uncle”‘ and “Auntie” to our kids. Actually he was the best man at our wedding 60 years ago. Last Christmas we talked about how strong a long distance friendship can remain even without constant contact. Now I suspect he is even closer to us all.
Aaron, Jason and families no doubt it’s difficult to lose someone so precious to you … you have our sympathy.

I remember going to Tyson's house swimming in his pool and just enjoyed how his father and his mother made us all felt so comfortable and made us feel like we were at home. Never felt nervous, always felt like I was a part of the family. My condolence nuff love and respect in every aspect?
