Very sad to hear of the passing of Carol. As one of her community nurses, I echo the sentiments of previous entries that Carol always asked how you were and smiled even as she was fighting her own battle. Such a great lady, I won't forget her. I'll always remember her courage. God bless you Carol and my sincerest condolences to her family.

Carol was a neighbour of ours for 18 years.  Her door was always opened for visitors with an excited greeting of "Hey!  How are you?  Come on in!"  Anthony and Bella were invited over on many occasions to hang out, play with Tux and Debit or bake cookies.  I would say, "Carol, are you sure you want to make cookies--there is going to be a lot of mess."  She would answer, "No problem!  That is part of the fun!"  If I needed to run a last minute errand, Carol never hesitated to lend a hand and sit with my kids.  Carol gave me great advice with working with my pugs, and to this day, I can still hear her voice telling me what to do when a visitor is at the door and one of my pugs gets out of control silly.  Thinking about her voice, I could just hear what Carol would have said if she was watching over all of us at her funeral:  "All these people are here for me!  Oh look, there's my family, my friends...Isn't this wonderful!"  She was so grateful for the little things in life.  Anthony and Bella miss Carol a lot.  Bella speaks about "Mrs. Wood" everyday.  I told her, I now have another Angel watching over them for me.  And during Carol's illness, they would ask me every day when I picked them up from school, "How is Mrs. Wood?"  We miss Carol, terribly.  Rest in Peace, Carol.

Dear Jean, Dianne and Ross. I was shocked and saddened to read about Carol's passing. The last time I saw Carol was when she attended my mother Marion Powell's funeral with Jean. 
Work, family, and in the past geography prevented us from keeping in touch, but you can be assured, I have very vivid and fond memories spending time in her bedroom or in the basement of your home on Alderdale, listening to Frankie Vally etc. on her portable record player. Carol and I first met when she was looking to train Shadow for obedience, and several years later worked with me at my obedience school as a respected trainer for 10 years.  I will always cherish her friendship and many kindnesses over the years.  Rest in peace Carol.  I picture you back now with your beloved Shadow "Shad" and Union.

Such a strong heart and great person!  Growing up with Carol and laughing through the Sunday dinners with all the cousins are golden memories.  You'll not be forgotten, Cuz!  Love to Aunt Jean,  Dianne, Ross and all the family.

So sorry to hear of Carol's illness and now her passing.  She and I had many practices together for Competitive Obedience trials with her Shadow and my Sabre. My condolences.

If I had to use one word to describe Carol it would be PINK, her favourite colour. Pink is the colour of universal love. It provides feelings of caring, tenderness, self-worth, love and acceptance.

We want to express our great sadness over the loss of a colleague and a friend.  It's going to take a while for the reality to sink in.  Carol's enthusiasm about life was contagious.  She was always there to help others, and was unbelievably brave and positive through her illness.  We will always remember her with great fondness and will miss her smiles, her hearing ear, her baked goods that she shared with us liberally, but most of all we will miss the beautiful person who left us much too soon.

Carol will be very much missed.  She inspired and taught us all through her loving heart, and deep committment to the human-animal bond.

We were once all together on "The Court". Over the years we have gone our different ways and when we hear sad news like this it seems we are all back again - like it was yesterday. I will always remember Carol fondly and picture her in the back yard, or at the end of the driveway chatting up the neighbours.

I can't express the sadness I feel.
I will miss you so much.

My deepest sympathy to Carol's Mom who sang us the sandwich crust song via the phone when Carol and I were at West Park, to her brother Ross and his wife who were so good to her when she needed them and also to her sister whom I never got to meet but heard lots about.all good! Carol was adelightful person through all her emotional and physical pain and my life has been blessed just knowing her for the short time we had to-gether. Carol will be sadly missed by the Veterinarians and the entire Animal Health Care Team at Ajax Animal Hospital.  Our condolences to the family in this time of loss.

Carol was a wonderful lady and a true friend.  When times were tough for me, she let Rio, my Aussie and I live in her basement for four months until I got back on my feet.  For that, I will never forget her.  She, along with her dog Shadow were great obedience competittors and accomplished many things.  Carol will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
