Predeceased by her parents Bill and Jean, and brother Chris.
Loving sister of Richard, Wendy (Jim), Michael (Chris) and Brad (Ellie). Will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Bryan, Greg, Phil, Jake, Max, Alyssa, Jillian, Bailey, Alex and Nadia. Beloved niece of Beverley Thompson (the late John).
Gail's special bond with her own nieces and nephews extended to include special relationships (not unlike an aunt) to so many others over the years.
Gail began her stellar technology and communications career at Burns Fry Ltd., in the early eighties. Then, it was on to Nortel Networks, where Gail held various positions launching new products and leadership positions in call centres - which took her to Dallas and to the Raleigh, NC.
While in Raleigh in 2001, she made the move to San Jose as VP of Business Development with Innovatia, and then on to Symmetricom Inc., as VP of Sales and Operations. Gail then did a short stint as Principal Consultant at Synergy.
Returning to Canada, she joined Cisco Systems in 2012 to present.
In every position, in every city, Gail developed deep and warm lasting relationships with so many wonderful people. She will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Cathedral, 200 Church Street. A reception will follow at F'Amelia Restaurant, 12 Amelia Street (Parliament and Wellesley).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jospeh's Health Centre Foundation (St. Joe's Plate), Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, or the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care.
