Faith, independence, and family were key forces in Audrey’s long life.
Audrey was a devoted member of the Church of the Epiphany on Kennedy Road, serving as both the church secretary and operating the nursery school until her retirement. Audrey never tired of helping others and serving her community. She could often be found at the Church seven days a week.
Never one to rest, upon her retirement Audrey took on the role of greeter at Jerrett Funeral Homes and worked the desk at the St. David’s Village retirement home while she resided there.
An avid lover of travel and reading, Audrey was as adept at telling stories of her adventures as she was at listening to the adventures of others. Her lust for life was infectious. Audrey encouraged all who loved her to not take life for granted; to follow their curiosity, embrace new experiences, and find something to be grateful for in each and every day.
Dearly beloved sister of predeceased Eveline (Art), Harold (Annie), Gordon, Dorothy (Ron), Herbert (Annabel), Norman, Edwin, and Bert (Leila). Loving sister-in-law to Margaret and Lois. Very loving and special Aunt, Great Aunt and Great-Great Aunt to numerous nieces, and nephews.
Special thanks to the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff at Bendale Nursing Home for the compassion and care they have shown over the years.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Visitation to honour Audrey will occur on April 3rd, 2024 between 10am - 11am followed by a Memorial Service at 11am at the Jerrett Funeral Home located at 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough. Reception and Interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation Canada are welcomed.
May His perpetual light shine upon her.
