

Alex took his last breath at 11:30 am on Tuesday September 6, 2011
At Toronto Western Hospital. His wife of 46 years, Georgie was at his bedside holding his hand. Alex was born in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Mary and Robert Wylie. He immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s and became a Canadian citizen the moment he was eligible, he truly loved Canada. He is survived by his sister Ella and her husband James Boyle, in Paislely, Scotlalnd; sister-in-law Elma (Russu) Monaghan and her husband Patrick of Toronto; his brother-in-law Mitchell Russu and his wife Diane of Kelowana, B. C.
Cremation has taken place however, since Alex wanted his family and friends to wish him Bon-voyage, a memorial service will be held at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Tuesday September 13, 2011 at 11:00 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, Georgie would greatly appreciate your donations to the charity of your choice in Alex’s memory. Georgie would like to express her thanks and gratitude to Dr. Wm. Coke, Dr. Draper and the many nurses, residents, technicians aids and all the team in Internal Medicine on the 3rd and 8th floors, at Toronto Western Hospital, who took such good care of Alex and made sure he was comfortable.
