   I was planning a trip this coming summer to see Aunt Agnes.  I miss going to Toronto to see all my relatives- now only the cousins are left.  I remember going to the store when I was only 6-7 years old and bringing Aunt Agnes back her "Black Cat Cigarettes"   Things were a lot different in those days.  I live in Nevada and I really miss those trips up to Canada to visit all my Aunts and Uncles and some cousins.
      Aunt Agnes and Uncle Charlie were always a lot of fun.

My dear Aunt Agnes was always young in spirit and although we only talked once or twice a year,she always made me laugh with new and interesting stories. I will always remember her laugh and quick wit. The miles kept us from seeing eachother more often but I will cherish our visits to Ontario to see her and Charlie when I was young and as an adult. In earlier years, she always had the newspaper puzzle by her chair and when she had to give that up because of her sight, she still didn't complain but just said that she missed that part of her day. I remember a special time in the early 1990s when we had all three Brady sisters for a few days at our home. It truly was a delight. She often told me of the frequent visitors over the years including my Canadian cousins and her nieces and nephews on the Thacker side. She had kind words for everyone. Thank you Terry for keeping us informed and thanks to everyone who comforted her over these past few weeks. She was treasure and I'm going to miss her.

When Mary Cartwright called to let me know about Agnes it sent my mind into a whirl with memories.  My name is Paddy O'Boyle and my dad was Fred O'Boyle, I knew Aunt Mel more than Agnes who was 23 years older thsn me, my dad was the youngest of Katherine's children and he was eight when his mother died. we moved away from Toronto when I was 13 so when my parents went to Toronto they left the six of us at home. I did go to visit Aunt Mel in the nursing home when she was 101 with my son who was probably about 5 at the time, I was so surprised that as soon as I walked in the room she knew who I was..  The things I remember taking my brothers Eddy and Paul up to the dental school where we got free dental check ups for school, we would have our appointments early in the morning and on the way back to St.Clair and Vaughan Rd. we would stop at Aunt Mel's for cookies and milk and by the time we finished it was time for lunch so we had to stay, I do remember a woman coming in for lunch who was probably Agnes, of course this happened more than once. Another thing I remember is going up for a Christmas tree and winding up at Aunt Mel's, but something had upset my stomach so after lots of coddling I was taken upstairs I think by Agnes to see the most beautiful doll house you could ever lay your eyes on. Another time I remember was being at the house was being there when 2 men were visiting from the states, I thought it was from Dallas because one of them was wearing a cowboy hat. but I realize now it must have been Agnes's brothers. I don't think I have to prove who I am, my genes show all through the letter, my dad used to say God put Mary and I on earth because we couldn't stop talking. My deepest sympathy. Agnes and Charlie were a great couple. When they visited her sister Teresa and Doug Cameron in Ottawa. They would visit her nephew James and his family. They loved the kids.
I contacted Agnes on the 21 Nov to give her some sad news that her nephew James had passed away 17 Nov. We had a great conversation one of the best we ever had. Agnes talked a lot about the Thacker family and Terry Brady. Little did I know this would be the last. In the New Year I will have a mass said in Ottawa for her.

I'll always remember Aunt Agnes as my 'young aunt'. She was younger than my mom and always laughing and making jokes with us when we were kids. She will always be a good childhood memory for me.

Although it has been many years since I've seen my Aunt Agnes, I still have many fond memories of her.  She was fortunate to have had such a long, happy life.  Rest in peace, Agnes.

My deepest sympathy.

Agnes and Charlie were a great couple. When they came to visit her sister and brother-in-law Teresa and Douglas Cameron in Ottawa they always stopped at her nephew James Cameron's to visit with his family.
Agnes crocket many baby blankets and a couple of afghan's for the children. Before they would leave they always had to give the children a little money.

The last time I spoke with Agnes was Nov 21 to give her news that her nephew James Cameron has passed away on Nov 17. This was the best conversation I had ever had with Agnes. She did most of the talking and she talked about Charlie's and her families. I will miss our talks.

Thanks to all of Charlie's family who took care of Aunt Agnes for us. Also thank you Terry Brady for letting me know when Agnes fell ill and keeping me informed of her condition.

I will have a mass said for Agnes at our church in Ottawa.
