Born in Italy on December 22, 1930, Ada carried with her the warmth, resilience, and grace of her homeland throughout her long and meaningful life. She emigrated with dreams in her heart and a steadfast devotion to family that defined every step of her journey.
Beloved wife of 70 years to Francesco Merigliano. Ada was a beloved mother to Linda Graziani (Tommaso) and Frank Merigliano (Suzan), who were the pride and joy of her life. She was a devoted and nurturing grandmother to Leo, Nadia, Amy (Kevin), Julian, and Sofia, and a cherished great-grandmother to Benjamin and Emily, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Family was everything to Ada. She was a loving sister to Carolina Di Marco and the late Nella, and her strength, kindness, and unwavering love will live on in the many lives she touched. Ada’s home was always open—her kitchen filled with the aroma of treasured family recipes, and her heart filled with wisdom, stories, and laughter. She had quiet strength, a gentle spirit, and a deep generosity that made everyone feel cared for and at home. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and family, a legacy that will continue to grow through the generations she inspired. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, followed by Entombment at Westminster Cemetery.
