William J. Cashin, 95, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Born in New York City, NY, he was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, NY before moving to Toms River in 1993. William worked in the shipping business for over 40 years before retiring in 1983.
William is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary White Cashin; two sons, Michael and his late wife Margrette Cashing and Christopher and his wife Teresa Cashin; three grandchildren, Kristen, Bryan and his wife Kabrina, and Lauren; one great-grandchild, Rylee.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 20, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, New Jersey, 08755. A Mas of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery 56 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River, NJ 08755.
