William R. "Bob" Owens Jr., age 80, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at home. Born in Glen Falls, NY, Bob was a longtime resident of Toms River. Bob was a Lineman for Jersey Central Power and Light for 37 years before his retirement in 2001. He was a proud Veteran serving from 1960 to 1964.
He was predeceased by his son William R. Owens, III, his daughter Patricia Owens - Vogel and his granddaughter Elizabeth Vogel.
Bob is survived by his wife Norma (Stout) Owens; his son Richard Owen and his wife Nadia; his daughter Christina Owens - Castro and her husband Mike and his brother Timothy Owens. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Evelyn Vogel, Iman Owens, Aidan Owens and great grandchildren: Jayden Vogel, and Marley and Piper Bagarello and Robert Vogel.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. Cremation will be private.
