

He is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen and Lisa, numerous relatives, and many dear friends. Vinny was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (nee Toohey) of 53 years.
Vinny cherished every moment he spent with friends and family. He was warm and approachable, and always willing to help when he could. He was a steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew him. He loved to talk and enjoyed conversation with friends and family and greeted everyone with great warmth and a smile.
Born and raised in Belleville and then Bloomfield, New Jersey, Vinny was the only child of his parents Josephine and Salvatore and he was surrounded by his large extended family including his grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. He has fond memories of going to his grandmother’s house and eating her meatballs she was frying for breakfast with bread and coffee.
An avid sports fan, Vinny never missed a Giants or Yankees game. If the two teams were playing at the same time, he would watch one on the television and the other on his computer.
Vinny proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US ARMY from 1953-1955. Upon returning stateside, he was employed by SGA Scientific Glass and Instrument as a sales representative and later Lurex Scientific.
Vinny valued his friendships, maintaining lifelong relationships and always making new friends along the way. Above all, he was a dedicated and loving son, husband, and father and would do anything he could for his family.
Vinny will be dearly missed by Kate and Lisa, and all who knew him.
A Memorial Visitation for Vincent will be held Friday September 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755, A Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 PM.
