Scott Alan Petersen

Scott was born on July 18, 1970 in Rockford, Illinois. After Scott graduated from Toms River High School East, he started working for Toms River Parking Authority then went on to working for Toms River Township, which he was at for 30 years. In 1987, Scott met his wife Cindy and got married June 30, 1990.

Scott was passionate about sports, loved his Giants and Michigan, going on nature walks and animals…. His cats. He enjoyed planting in his garden and canoeing down Winding River.

Scott was predeceased by his grandparents, father in law and brother in law. He is survived by his parents Alan and Sandra Petersen, his wife Cynthia Petersen, his mother in law Mary Bowens, daughter Trisha Petersen Krause and her husband Dustin Krause, his daughter Sarah Petersen, his son Tristan McQuaid , his sister Kim Bartz with her husband TimBartz and his nephews Bryan and Sean. As well as many other nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Anderson & Campbell funeral home of Toms River on July 9th at 6-8pm In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Popcorn Park Zoo.

The family is asking that everyone dress casual. Where your favorite football shirts, jeans and be comfortable.
