Samuel Agnew Davis III of Toms River, NJ passed peacefully to God on Monday, 2/18/2013. He was surrounded by his wife and children under the loving care of Hospice. Sam was born in Dunedin, Florida on March 2, 1950. He attended college at the University of Florida. Sam moved to New Jersey in 1988. He worked as a civil engineer.
He has coached with the Toms River Recreation Softball and was VP of the Toms River Tornadoes Softball organization. Most recently he was involved with and Intensity Softball Club.
He leaves behind his Wife, Lynn Ginfrida Davis, his Son Samuel Daks Davis and daughter-in -law Angie Davis, His daughter Kylie Davis-Owens, and son- in-law Jason Owens, His daughter Nicole Marie Davis and his Brother Gale Davis. He leaves behind 3 grandchildren; Logan Jane Owens, Addison Carlene Owens, and Colton Samuel Davis.
He was an avid golfer and all things softball. Those who knew Sam will always remember his calm demeanor and southern charm.
He was welcomed into the Glory of Heaven by his mother and father, brother-in-law and mother-in-law who preceded him in death.
A memorial gathering will held, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ.
