Samuel Holly Clarke

Samuel Clarke, 83, of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He lost his battle with cancer on August 15, 2015, at Spring Village Nursing Home in Galloway. Samuel was born and raised in Clifton, NJ, where he attended Clifton High School. He worked at Hoffman- La Roche for many years where he took great pride in his work. Samuel was a devoted and loving husband, father, and amazing grandfather. In recent years, Samuel and his wife Ginette, made their beach home in Manahawkin their permanent residence. It was there that he enjoyed many memorable summers with his family on Long Beach Island. He is survived by his loving wife Ginette; three daughters: Kathleen Calathopulos and her husband Nick, Linda Manino and her husband Peter, and Marlene Zagorski and her husband Ed; four grandchildren: Denise Manino, Amy Manino, Peter Manino, and Eric Zagorski; and his daughter-in-law Laverne Dickson. He was predeceased by his stepson, Thomas Dickson. Funeral services will be privately held at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River on Wednesday. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories in Washington Twp.
